Introducing KCL Women in Business' inaugural premier speaker series, Behind Every Woman. The goal of this series is to spotlight women who create impact, exemplify courage and drive real change in businesses around the world to shape a new way forward. We are dedicated to making this speaker event series a forum to to inspire and encourage young female leaders of tomorrow in the early stages of their careers.

Anna Manz - Chief Financial Officer of the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG)
On January 25th 2023, Anna Manz, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) was a guest speaker at the “Behind Every Woman’ premier speaker series event, held by King’s College London’s Women in Business Society. She inspired the audience with valuable advice on having a ‘why’ mindset, the importance of actively seeking mentorship, transforming strengths into skillsets, a female support system within the workplace, and a forward-looking mentality. Anna also shared her advice on leveraging and balancing your strengths, taking feedback positively and being authentic. She also touched upon why work-life balance is crucial, and further elaborated on the art of taking criticism, regardless of the sector we work in. The event closed with a Q&A session with the audience where Anna gave further advice on working within the industry. Her insights left a lasting impression on all attendees at the event.

Julie Brown - Brown Chief Financial Officer & Chief Operating Officer of Burberry
On November 28th 2022, Julie Brown, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Burberry was a guest speaker at the “Behind Every Woman’ premier speaker series event, held by King’s College London’s Women in Business Society. Ms. Brown shared the highs and lows of her career and how she navigated her way to the top in the last decades to create impact. She shared her insights on mentorship, careers, sustainability in the rapidly changing luxury fashion world and challenges in Burberry’s growth during the pandemic.
