Women's Summit - Highlights
33 speakers, 6-panel talks, 3 workshops, and over 200 members coming together! On Saturday 11th March 2023, KCL Women in Business hosted its largest event of the year, the inaugural Women's Summit. The aim of the summit was to spark new thinking, embolden others and stir conversations around this year's IWD theme, Embracing Equity to build a more equitable and resilient future.
The summit kicked off with opening remarks from WIB President Navya Sethi, followed by the keynote address on leadership and confidence from KCL alumnus, WIB mentor and CEO of Uma, Rita Kakati-Shah. The day consisted of six thought-provoking panels and workshops on personal branding, leadership and application advice with an excellent lineup of speakers across various business sectors - finance, entrepreneurship, venture capital, consulting, finance, and marketing. We also welcomed Aline Santos Farhat, Chief Brand Officer, and Chief Diversity and Inclusion officer of Unilever, for a fireside chat on rising the ranks, who shared valuable insights on embracing differences and the power of authenticity. easy.
